The NP-35 reproduces the sound of the Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand piano: clear, transparent and with an expansive treble. The 64-note polyphony and 15 voices ensure that even polyphonic passages and pedal resonances do not break off. Compared with the previous NP-15 model, the NP-35 has a larger amplifier, which provides a more powerful bass and greater overall volume.

The 76 keys are made in the Graded Soft Touch design: somewhat heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble – like a real piano, only noticeably lighter to play.
