Grand Auditorium meets Cutaway – powerful tone, striking flamed looks

The MERIDA MA17GACEQ-NT combines the rich, balanced tone of a Grand Auditorium body with the playing comfort of a cutaway shape. For guitarists who want a powerful, well-defined sound on stage or at home, paired with an acoustic guitar that has real visual character, this instrument is an excellent choice.

Solid spruce top meets flamed rosewood

The solid European spruce top delivers a fast response, clear highs and a dynamic tone that grows with the player. Back and sides in flamed rosewood, with their distinctive wavy grain, add a warm, overtone-rich foundation – and make every MA17GACEQ-NT a visual one-off thanks to its natural wood figure.

Comfortable neck, classic dimensions

The flamed okoume neck, paired with a fretboard and bridge in durable Omega laminate, feels comfortable in hand with a smooth, familiar playing feel. With a 43 mm nut width and 650 mm scale length, the guitar suits fingerstyle playing just as well as full chord work; the bone nut and saddle transfer string vibration to the top with minimal loss.

Cutaway access and stage-readiness with the Merida MR-5

The cutaway body gives easy access to the highest frets, while the built-in Merida MR-5 pickup system with EQ makes the guitar stage- and recording-ready in seconds. Chrome tuners keep the guitar in tune even under heavy playing, and the built-in armrest adds comfort during long practice sessions.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Balanced tone: Solid spruce top for clear highs and dynamic response.
• Striking looks: Flamed rosewood back and sides make every instrument one of a kind.
• Comfortable feel: Flamed okoume neck and 43 mm nut width for relaxed playing.
• Stage-ready: Cutaway access and Merida MR-5 pickup with EQ for quick plug-in.
• Stable tuning: Chrome tuners and D’Addario XT strings for reliable intonation.
