The Kawai K-500 with AURES2 system combines the full, warm tone of a classic school piano with the flexibility of a digital piano. Powerful tone from a solid soundboard

The large, tapered solid spruce soundboard with a surface area of 1.45 m² and 11 ribs produces a powerful, warm piano tone. The duplex scale and the NEOTEX key surfaces – both carried over from Kawai grand piano building – broaden the tonal spectrum and noticeably improve the feel under your fingers. The extended keys and the Millennium III action with ABS-Carbon components deliver precise, fast and stable control of every touch.

AURES2: digital silence, acoustic feel

Engage the mute function and the K-500 becomes a quiet practice partner: four transducers mounted directly on the soundboard – rather than conventional speakers – produce a remarkably natural, spatial sound that you hear through the included Kawai SH-9 headphones. With 256-note polyphony, 90 sounds and an optical sensing system (IHSS), the full dynamics and touch control of the original instrument are preserved. The free Kawai PianoRemote app lets you control sound selection, transposition, tuning, metronome and more right from your smartphone.
