Slimline elegance meets the warmth of cedar – the LAG Tramontane T118 ASCE IVO

The LAG Tramontane T118 ASCE IVO from Algam combines Southern French craftsmanship with a slim, stage-ready body. With its solid red cedar top, elegant Ivory finish and practical Astro-Lâg preamp, it is a fine choice for singer-songwriters, band musicians and anyone who values a warm, distinctive tone.

Solid red cedar meets the Slim-Body

The sonic heart of this guitar is its solid red cedar top: cedar responds immediately and sensitively to touch, delivering a warmer, more intimate tone with rich midrange compared to spruce. Back and sides in Khaya, a mahogany-related tonewood, round out the tonal picture. The slim Auditorium body, with a depth of just 90 to 110 mm, sits comfortably against the body and makes the guitar remarkably feedback-resistant on stage.

French attention to detail and practical electronics

The fingerboard and bridge are made from BrankoWood – LAG's sustainable alternative to tropical rosewood – ensuring even playability across all 20 frets. For live use, the Astro-Lâg preamp system provides volume and 3-band tone controls, brilliance, notch and phase adjustment, plus a built-in tuner – all within easy reach on the guitar's side.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Warm cedar tone: solid red cedar top for immediate response and rich midrange.
• Stage-ready slim body: just 90 to 110 mm deep, remarkably feedback-resistant.
• Practical studio electronics: Astro-Lâg preamp with 3-band EQ and built-in tuner.
• Sustainable BrankoWood: fingerboard and bridge without tropical rosewood.
• Comfortable playability: French Satin neck back for a silky-smooth feel.

Playing Tip

The slim body makes the T118 ASCE IVO a great choice for long performances while standing: it sits more comfortably against the body than a classic dreadnought and delivers a clean, direct sound through the PA – ideal for fingerpicking, strumming and solo performances.
