With the sansula, the vibration of the tongue is first "stored" in a block of wood, which then transmits it to a sound membrane. The Sansula "Melody" has an 11-note reed set, which is precisely tuned to the G major scale in the factory tuning. A variety of songs and melodies, as well as chords to accompany songs or melodies, can be played with this set of notes. The "Melody" is just as suitable for improvisation and intuitive playing.
