The Sonor AXP 1.1 alto xylophone from the Primary Line Series introduces children and educators to their first melodic percussion instrument. With its fundamental tuning and clear, warm tone, it is perfectly suited for primary school, Orff-Schulwerk classes or early musical education.

Warm sound from Pao Rosa sound bars

The 16 sound bars are made from FSC-certified Pao Rosa wood (35 x 18 mm) and sit on a resonator box of equally FSC-certified birch plywood. This combination delivers a round, well-projecting tone across the full range from C1 to A2; the chromatic extra notes F#1, B1 and F#2 also allow simple melodies beyond the plain C major scale.

Designed with teaching in mind

Note lines printed directly on the sound bars make it easier for children to learn the notes and take their first steps in reading music. The instrument is finished exclusively with ecological Proterra lacquer, safe for young players.
