Dreadnought power meets auditorium comfort – the Martin D-16E-01

The Martin D-16E-01 Rosewood from the renowned 16 Series is the answer for anyone seeking the full, powerful sound of a classic dreadnought without giving up playing comfort. Handcrafted at the legendary Martin factory in Nazareth, USA, the D-16E-01 combines the projection of a dreadnought with the comfortable depth of an auditorium model – ideal for songwriters, live performers, and anyone looking for an instrument for life.

Solid tonewoods for a rich, balanced sound

At the heart of this guitar is a solid, satin-finished spruce top that delivers balanced tone with brilliant projection. Back and sides in East Indian rosewood add well-balanced bass, rich overtones, and plenty of resonance. The forward-shifted X-bracing in a scalloped pattern lets the top vibrate freely, drawing maximum volume out of the body.
