Exotic looks meet stage-ready tone – the Martin D-12E-01 Koa

With the D-12E-01 from the Road Series, Martin Guitar delivers a dreadnought that combines an exotic look with warm, projecting tone. It is an excellent choice for songwriters, performing musicians and anyone looking for an expressive accompaniment guitar with built-in electronics.

Solid spruce top and koa veneer for a warm, bright tone

The gloss-finished solid spruce top delivers quick response and clear highs, while the koa fine veneer back and sides add a warm, balanced foundation. The scalloped X-bracing lets the top vibrate freely for extra dynamics and projection – classic dreadnought, classic Martin.

Stage-ready thanks to Martin E1 electronics

For live use, the D-12E-01 comes fitted with the Martin E1 pickup system, including a built-in soundhole tuner. That means you can tune up any time without an extra pedal and be ready for stage or studio at a moment's notice.

First-class craftsmanship for comfortable playability

The FSC certified Richlite fingerboard and bridge provide a smooth, low-maintenance surface, while the hand-rubbed neck in the Performing Artist shape with High-Performance Taper delivers comfortable playability across all 20 frets. The Style 28 multi-stripe rosette and Style 18 back purfling add an extra visual highlight.
