With the Genos 2, Yamaha brings its flagship workstation up to date for ambitious keyboard players and professional entertainers. It is built for anyone on stage, in the studio or at home who refuses to compromise on sound quality, playability and expressive control – with 76 keys, a vast sound library and modern connectivity in a single instrument.

1,991 voices and legendary FM tone generation

At its core sit 1,991 voices plus 75 Drum/SFX kits and 480 XG voices, generated through a combination of AWM stereo sampling, AEM technology and the legendary FM tone generation from the Yamaha DX7. On top come 800 styles – including 720 Pro, 69 Session and 11 Free Play styles – each with four variations and One Touch Settings for authentic backing arrangements across virtually every genre.

Intuitive control with a 9-inch touchscreen and live controllers

The anti-reflective 9-inch touchscreen, with a sub display above the faders and knobs, keeps everything in view at all times. Six assignable knobs, nine faders with LED status and a cross fader give direct access to sound and mix, while Registration Memory with 10 slots per bank recalls complete sound setups at the touch of a button.

Connected for stage, studio and live recording

Bluetooth 5.0 audio and WLAN make the Genos 2 ready for wireless music streaming and app control. The built-in USB audio interface (44.1 kHz, 32-bit, stereo) and the microphone input with switchable phantom power open the door to live vocals and professional recording straight from the instrument.
