The Yamaha C6X from the renowned CX series combines powerful presence with a warm, natural resonance. As part of the CX series, it directly benefits from technologies Yamaha developed for the CFX concert grand.

V-Pro cast frame and reinforced back

The C6X frame is cast using Yamaha's proprietary V-Pro vacuum process at the Iwata factory and withstands the enormous string tension of the instrument. The back, built with four posts, is around 20% thicker than on earlier models, adding stability and tonal foundation – the basis for the powerful, room-filling sound of the CX series.

Precise touch through CFX-derived technology

The C6X hammers are made from the same felt used on the CFX concert grand, matched to the instrument's size, delivering a nuanced tonal range from the softest pianissimo to a full fortissimo. The 88 keys feature Ivorite white key surfaces for a natural, comfortable grip, while a soft-close mechanism gently and safely lowers the keyboard cover.
