Hand-crafted bell for an open response

The one-piece yellow brass bell, at 127 mm, is among the largest Yamaha makes. Its thickness that tapers towards the rim and the flat „French bead" rim give a very open, comfortable response and the freedom to shape your own personal tonal colour. The result is the characteristic, carrying Z sound that sits effortlessly above a whole band.

Gold brass leadpipe and Monel pistons for control

The gold brass leadpipe adds warmth and a fast, precise slot – you hit your high notes more securely and with less fatigue. The 11.3 mm (0.445 inch) step bore provides the resistance needed for controlled lead playing without losing flexibility in quiet passages. The reliable Monel pistons move smoothly and quickly and stand up to the most intense weeks of rehearsal.
